Contest Offers Cash Prizes for Wolf Kills in Northeastern British Columbia, Canada
A sad statement about the state of our world when magnificent examples of nature and the power of evolution are disrespected in this manner. Anyone who has experienced these magnificent animals in the wild (and I have only heard them) would never allow such an absurdity.
A great quote: the Wolf kill contest “is about feeding the egos of small men with big guns,’ said Raincoast Science Director Dr. Chris Darimont. Another quote from the article states “the contest is $50 to enter. At the end of the contest, on May 31, the winners will receive prizes ranging between $250 to upwards of $1,000, it has been reported. There is also a booby prize of $150 for the smallest wolf.”
